Government Salary Grade

Use the monthly basic from the DBM schedule. This calculator applies GSIS instead of SSS.

Updated October 2026. Based on 2024-2026 BIR tax tables, SSS, PhilHealth, GSIS, and Pag-IBIG contribution schedules.

A government salary grade is a row on the Department of Budget and Management salary schedule, under the Salary Standardization Law. Each grade has steps. The peso amount changes when DBM implements a new tranche. This site does not store that table.

Take the monthly basic salary from the Notice of Salary Adjustment or the current DBM schedule. Enter it on the salary calculator and choose Government. The employee GSIS share is 9% of that monthly basic. The government share is 12%. PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG use the same ceilings as private employment. Withholding tax is computed on taxable compensation, after those employee contributions.

Job order and contract of service workers are not on this GSIS path. Their pay is a contract amount, not a salary grade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this page list the peso amount for each salary grade?+
