  1. SSS uses the Monthly Salary Credit. ₱30,000.00 falls on a credit of ₱30,000.00. The employee pays 5%, ₱1,500.00. The employer pays 10%, ₱3,000.00, plus ₱30.00 Employees' Compensation. Republic Act 11199 and SSS Circular No. 2024-006.
  2. PhilHealth is 5% of monthly basic, split in half. The employee pays ₱750.00 and the employer pays the same. Republic Act 11223. The base has a ₱10,000 floor and a ₱100,000 ceiling.
  3. Pag-IBIG is 2% up to the ₱10,000 fund salary, so each side pays ₱200.00. HDMF Circular No. 460.
  4. Withholding tax uses taxable compensation, which is gross minus those three employee shares: ₱27,550.00 a month, or ₱330,600.00 a year. The amount over ₱250,000 is ₱80,600.00. 15% of that is ₱12,090.00 for the year, or ₱1,007.50 a month. Republic Act 10963. A payroll system that uses the rounded monthly withholding table can differ by a few centavos.

Pag-IBIG₱200.00

Take-home pay is ₱26,542.50. The employer's extra cost is ₱3,980.00, so employing this person costs ₱33,980.00 a month before 13th month pay. Government pay replaces SSS with GSIS on the full calculator, and a semi-monthly cutoff can place the contributions on the first or second payout.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Philippine income tax computed?+
Under the TRAIN Law, income tax is graduated and is computed on taxable compensation: gross pay minus the employee share of SSS or GSIS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG. The first ₱250,000 of annual taxable income is tax-free. Income from ₱250,001 to ₱400,000 is taxed at 15%, ₱400,001–₱800,000 at 20%, and so on up to 35% for income above ₱8,000,000. The monthly withholding tax is the annual tax divided by 12.
What is the SSS contribution rate in 2024–2026?+
SSS uses a Monthly Salary Credit table. The employee share is 5% of the MSC and the employer share is 10%, for a total of 15%. The MSC ranges from ₱5,000 to ₱35,000, so the employee pays ₱250 to ₱1,750 a month under the January 2025 schedule still in force for 2026.
How much is PhilHealth contribution?+
PhilHealth contributions are 5% of the monthly basic salary, split equally — 2.5% from the employee and 2.5% from the employer. The minimum monthly premium is ₱500 (₱250 per side) and the maximum is ₱5,000 (₱2,500 per side) based on 2024–2026 rates.
What is the Pag-IBIG (HDMF) contribution?+
For monthly compensation of ₱1,500 and below, the employee contribution is 1%. For above ₱1,500, it is 2%, capped at a maximum employee share of ₱200 per month on the ₱10,000 Maximum Fund Salary. Employers match the employee contribution.
Is the 13th month pay taxable in the Philippines?+
The first ₱90,000 of the 13th month pay and other bonuses is tax-exempt. Any amount above ₱90,000 is subject to withholding tax.
Is my salary data safe when I use this calculator?+
Yes — all calculations happen directly in your browser. No data is sent to any server. Pinoy @ Work does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial information.
